I am pleased to inform everyone that the undercover practice bays will be open to Members from tomorrow morning. Those who have elected one of the 2 membership offers can collect their cards from the pro shop from tomorrow morning. Others can purchase tokens from the pro shop. There are one or two things to tidy up next week in the undercover bay area but it is now operational.
We have also set out the roped grass area. Please make sure you are within the roped area when practicing from grass.
The outdoor bays will be completed early next week. Please make sure you do not enter this area for any reason as it in the process of being levelled for the mats to go on top – even the smallest disturbance on this area will set us back in the process, so please give it a wide berth.
In the coming weeks we will be completing the paths and the landscaping.
I would like to remind everyone that the range balls are for the range and should not be used on the pitching, bunker or putting areas. Please continue to use your own balls in these areas.
As always I would be interested to hear your comments, views and suggestions where we could improve the facility. Other than that I would conclude by hoping that you enjoy the new facility and that it helps your game and improves your overall golfing experience here at the club.

On a warm, sunny morning Richard Bannister took to the tee to fire off the first shot in the inaugural running of the Bill Bannister Trophy. Although, interrupted by a thunder storm the event was a great success with 80 players taking part in the Greensome Stableford competition.
Bill was a constant figure around the club for many years and was well known around the town through his Estate Agency business. It was a pleasure seeing his wife Sue, son Richard and grandson at the Club.
The Mens event was won by David Bloom and Peter Howarth with a very good score of 42 points and the Ladies event was won by Rose Stollery and Pat Sharp with 39 points.
