New Chairman of Suffolk Junior Golf

Trevor Mason was appointed to the role of  Suffolk County Junior Golf Chairman at the County AGM held on 31st March 2017.  This is a prestigious role and his appointment reflects the time and commitment that he has put into Junior Golf in Suffolk over more than 10 years.   Congratulations Trevor from all at FFGC.
Most people will know Trevor Mason as the Club’s competition organizer, rules and handicap guru, part time quiz master and bingo caller, and an ex-Club Captain.   But, at the same time, he has also been heavily involved and successful with the County Juniors as the manager of the Suffolk under-18 team.
Along with County head coach, Keith Preston, Trevor has encouraged and helped young players to develop into strong County Junior players.  Some of these young lads have gone on to become Suffolk 1st and 2nd team players (including the current first team captain Jack Cardy), and  Suffolk amateur champions.  There are countless players in Suffolk who would not have achieved some of their own golfing dreams without the attention to detail and the tireless work, including many 18 hour days, put in by Trevor.
So congratulations once again Trevor.  You have earned this prestigious position.
