Julie Otto (nee Wade, formerly Hall) learnt her golf at Felixstowe having been introduced to the game by her farther, Ernie. Under the coaching guidance of Club Professional Ian McPherson she gained national and international honours, representing both England and Great Britain & Ireland. Among a long list of achievements throughout her playing career, she was the 1990 and the 1995 British Ladies’ Open Amateur Champion and the 1993 British Ladies’ Open Amateur Stroke Play Champion. She competed for Great Britain & Ireland in five Curtis Cup against the United States of America.
Joanne Woodward (nee Hockley) and Paul Waring as being our most recent National “Champions”. Jo won the British Ladies Amateur Open Stroke play in 1992 and Paul won the English Deaf Open championship in 2014.
